This agricultural barn complex near Cranbrook, was renovated and partly reconstructed, to provide a family dwelling for the owner.

Bloomfields gained permission for a change of use and for conversion of the original barn complex into a single dwelling. The principle barn was converted into bedroom accommodation on the first floor, with ground floor sitting room and office. Adjoining cart sheds were converted into other living spaces, along with side and rear extensions.

A prior application was refused, but this design was amended to gain a successful permission. Consideration was also given to the wellbeing of bats visiting the roof space during construction works.

Bloomfields gained planning and Listed building consent for the conversion of buildings on a Victorian Model Farmstead in Tudeley. Originally part of the Somerhill estate, the collection of former agricultural buildings, clustered around a farmhouse, lies within the Green Belt and both an AONB and a Special Landscape Area.
