Our clients had an enforcement notice served on them requiring the removal of various facilities that had been provided within an agricultural barn. These included a farm office, bathroom, Rayburn and hot water system. The Council were insistent that none of the facilities justified retention, even for agricultural purposes. The Council were threatening legal proceedings to seek compliance with the enforcement notice.
Through a planning application we demonstrated the holding required a farm office/mess room and toilet. The Rayburn and hot water system can also be retained on site.
