CLASS Q FIRST FLOOR SUCCESS

Bloomfields has secured prior approval for the conversion of an agricultural building to a house with a first floor, utilising a bespoke design for the floors integration within the main frame.
Despite the reservations of the Local Planning Authority about the inclusion of a first floor, Bloomfields overcame the Council’s concerns by showing how the first floor could be integrated without any new structural elements. Bloomfields commissioned a structural engineer to prepare a Structural Statement which was submitted to support Bloomfields justification of the development.
The conversion of an adjacent cow shed was also granted prior approval for a dwellinghouse alongside the Atcost, offering scope for the conversion to a separate dwelling or annex.
